Located on the A1A near Melbourne Beach, Florida.  The statue was moved to this site to celebrate his landing here. The 10-foot-tall bronze statue was transported from artist Rafael Picon’s studio in Rockledge to a Melbourne Beach site commemorating the landing of the explorer on Florida’s East Coast 500 years ago.  The regional beach park features 2 beach crossovers, a small pavilion, restrooms, and parking. The park commemorates the epic 1513 voyage of Ponce de Leon and his landing on the shore of Florida on April 2 near the site of the park.
